Open your door to natural innovation

DONNA MERTEN, Founder, President & CEO
B.A., Architecture, Ball State University

Donna Merten is on a mission to bring sustainable building practices into the home building industry. During the last 10 years she has gained invaluable design and building experience, including a stint as Head Product Designer of Commodore Homes (a manufactured housing company) and both Director of Architecture and Environmental Director of James Company (local builder in Boulder, CO). She created the first environmental program for the James Company which recycled over 1,000 tons of construction waste, and her success in this project was recognized at both the local and national level.

This was only the launching pad for Merten’s quest to prove that environmental design and building practices could be brought to the masses and enjoyed by everyone. In 2006, Merten started her own Design/Build Firm, and recent work has propelled Merten, Inc. into the Green Building/High Performance Homes’ spotlight.
